Definition
Mode of Flight | An aircraft state of motion, characterized by its Transversal and Longitudinal Accelerations. Examples are Left Turn, Right Turn, Climbing/Descending state, Uniform Motion, etc. MOF’s are used as input classes in the evaluation system - particularly for accuracy analysis. The classification of Modes-of-Flight (MOF) concerns modes in three directions transversal modes, longitudinal modes and vertical modes. |
