1.The collective ability to deliver a specified type of effect or a specified course of action. Within the context of the SESAR Programme a capability is therefore the ability to support the delivery of a specific operational concept to an agreed level of performance.
2.The ability of one or more of the enterprise's resources to deliver a specified type of effect or a specified course of action to the enterprise stakeholders.
3.The ability of a system to provide a service or perform a function that, either on its own or with other services or functions, can deliver a definable level of performance. This level of performance is measurable within a framework of performance indicators and safety requirements.
