  • N/A - Not applicable, indicating that no occurrence of the corresponding AIXM feature is expected to be present in the data set;
  • Mandatory - Occurrences of the corresponding AIXM feature is expected to be present in the data set, if they exist in reality;
  • Optional - Occurrences of the corresponding AIXM feature may appear in the data set if
    • provided as digital data in replacement of an AIP table, or 
    • directly referenced by another element present in that data set. They should not appear if provided already as part of another data set, for which the AIXM Feature is declared as a mandatory element.
      • For example, AirportHeliport occurrences are mandatory for the AIP data set and optional for the obstacle data set. This can lead to the following two situations
        • if the AIP Data Set is not yet provided, then AirportHeliport instances referenced by an ObstacleArea need to be shall be included in the Obstacle data set concerned. Otherwise, this data would be not available;

        • if the AIP Data set is provided, then the AirportHeliport instances referenced by an ObstacleArea should not be included in the Obstacle data set concerned. The data may be recuperated from the AIP data set.
