Obviously if you just want to read information on the wiki you just click your way around it like any other web site. If you don't find the information you're after you could try contacting the dpmf; you should normally get an answer pretty quickly.
But we are hoping you will also want to contribute to it; either by creating your own pages, updating existing pages to correct or improve them, or simply by adding your comments.
- Creating your own pages. There are a number of pages that serve as entry points for the different types of stakeholder to add their own information that they think will be of interest to the datalink community. You are invited to create your own pages here if you wish. You need to be a registered member of the CRO to be able to edit pages. If you want to register to edit the wiki please email us. The software used for this wiki is mediawiki (the same as used for wikipedia), so if you need help with editing either just google it, or a good place to start is the metawiki help site. Note: the advanced editor provides a much more familiar user interface; to enable it you need to select 'my preferences' from the top line, then select the 'editing' tab, then select the beta features 'Enable enhanced editing toolbar'and 'Enable dialogs for inserting links, tables and more'.
- Editing existing pages. Not all pages are available for everyone to edit. But if they are available to edit you will see an 'edit' tab shown at the top of the page. Click on it and an editor will open in which you can change the current page. Please use this facility to correct mistakes or to improve the current content.
- Adding comments. Even if you don't have the rights to edit a page you will still be able to leave comments on a particular page. You still need to be registered to do this, but this level of registration is automated. To create an account you need to click on 'Log in / create account' at the top right hand corner of the screen. Then click on create account and fill in the form (select 'local' as your domain). Once you are registered, you can login and then simply click on the 'discussion' tab at the top of the page to enter your comments.
Wikis are at their best when they are actively maintained by the users, so please do feel free to update it, to keep it accurate and up to date.
