Message sets supported by each ANSP

The tables below provide the list of mandatory (M) and optional (O) uplink and downlink messages supported by the 2013 ANSPs. The information was initially provided to EUROCONTROL in a survey in Dec 2011. The ANSPs are invited to check and update this information. Please update the last row of the table to indicate when the data was checked/updated.

Supported messages are indicated with a ‘Y’. Non-supported messages are left blank.

ANSPs (MUAC, NAV-P, NATS, IAA) that have confirmed to accommodate FANS 1/A(+) aircraft at the start of CPDLC Operations and ANSPs (AENA) that may decide to do so at a later stage (date TBD) are marked in blue.

Note 1: DSNA is not committed to implement UM157 "CHECK STUCK MICROPHONE [frequency]" due to both technical complexity for a transitory solution (mapping of Operational Entity - Logical Function - CWP - Frequency in our legacy system) and lack of operational interest compared to UM183 "CHECK STUCK MICROPHONE".

Note 2: ENAV is analyzing the potential implementation of UM171-174; The climbing/descending rate of aircraft to the required level is in general such that the clearance has not yet completed when ground timer tts expires after 120 sec.

Note 3: In virtue of ED120-Change 2, ANSPs that accommodate FANS 1/A(+) aircraft must implement emergency messages DM55, DM566 and DM112 for display to the controller. In accordance with GOLD –v1.0, the response, initiated by the ground system or controller, to DM55 and DM56 is ROGER PAN and ROGER MAYDAY, respectively. It is a local decision when the emergency messages will be implemented. However, in principle ANSPs should ensure that they will become available no later than Jan 2015.
