MUAC intend to prevent FANS aircraft that have not implemented the latency timer feature (i.e. those that are not FANS1/A+) from being able to logon to use CPDLC at MUAC. Aircraft operators are invited to download this spreadsheet and fill it in with information about the FANS1/A+ aircraft in their fleet. The spreadsheet should then be sent by emailto the data link performance monitoring function, who will maintain a central database of this information on behalf of MUAC.
Currently the only criteria being applied is that the aircraft must the FANS1/A+, but it is possible that in the future it may be required that the aircraft are fitted with VDRs that meet the current white list criteria for ATN aircraft.
